Thibodaux Service League works with many local organizations in a variety of community projects, including the following.
Bayou Country Children's Museum
Opening this fall, the children's museum will promote the unique cultures of south Louisiana with entertaining, educational, and interactive experiences.
Advocates for the abused and neglected children by training and supporting community volunteers to be their voices in court.
Provides formal wear to girls who could not otherwise afford to attend their prom. Currently held at Thibodaux High School.
A Christian organization that provides education, guidance and spiritual support to pregnant women and men in crisis.
Provide food and household items and other support to families in crisis.
Hope for Animals
Works to develop awareness and interest in animal cruelty issues and overpopulation problems in Lafourche Parish as well as providing temporary shelters for stray and abandoned animals and adoption services.
Provides children with temporary and long-term shelter.
The League committee members assist the library staff with seasonal activities and presentations.
Coordinated by the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux, they collect and distribute toys for needy children over the holidays.
